While we love relaxing on our famous Florida beaches, we’re even bigger fans of enjoying the same warm and sunny setting while seated at a beach bar in our most casual attire. After all, there’s nothing better than enhancing that toes-in-the-sand experience with a tropical cocktail, fine wine, or ice-cold beer — perhaps paired with a delicious grouper sandwich or "cheeseburger in paradise." Juana's is Navarre's oldest family owned restaurant and bar, and is still a favorite hangout spot for locals and tourists alike. He left in 2017 to accept the position of Executive Chef at The Grand Marlin on Pensacola Beach, which he held until returning to The Fish House in 2022. Chef Jason Hughes was born in Mobile, Alabama and grew up in Gulf Breeze, Florida and Daphne, Alabama. If you’re looking for a no-frills beach bar and restaurant with spectacular sunset and beach views, this Bonita Beach landmark is for you. While Hurricane Ian raged through the first floor of this family-friendly beachfront favorite of locals and visitors,  the upstairs was completely untouched. As soon as it reopened 14 months later, we were seated at a corner table in that bustling second-floor sports-themed bar area, enjoying ice-cold beer, signature Chicago-style Italian beef sandwiches and a clear view of the beach. We also love the tacos, wings, burgers and crowd-favorite Chicago tavern-style pizza (served after 4 p.m.). Established in 1964, the Flora-Bama Lounge is known beyond Florida as one of the top beach bars and is uniquely located on the Alabama-Florida line between Orange Beach and Perdido Key. The restaurant has five stages for live music, several beachfront bars and, of course, spectacular views of the Gulf.

You don't need to sit out on the patio to catch a sweltering Gulf of Mexico sunset, thanks to the window-heavy design of the Beach House Social dining room. The space was renovated in 2023 to bring the best of elevated, coastal cuisine. The menu highlights fresh, local ingredients, from the fresh Gulf fresh to the fruit juices in the cocktails. At The Crab Trap, you'll find a boardwalk leading down to the water, rustic Florida décor, great views of the Gulf and a playground for the kiddos.

The park, formerly known as Premier Adventure Park, added its Caribbean restaurant and tiki bar in 2020 when it rebranded itself as Laguna’s. Now the site offers beachfront seating, Caribbean-inspired entrees and a myriad of drink options to go along with the park’s ropes courses, zip trails, go-karts and more. Casino Beach Bar and Grille sits right on top of Pensacola Beach, with its sugar-white sands that lead right up to the restaurant. This is the place to go if you want to experience the sights and sounds of the Gulf of Mexico, island vibes and live music. The Perdido Key Oyster Bar Restaurant & Marina is located right on the intracoastal waterway in Perdido Key, making it a great spot for waterfront views and getting a look at Big Lagoon State Park.

It's at the end of Lemon Street and sports bright yellow awnings, so of course it's called the Lemon Bar. The beachfront bar with cold beer, surfboard-themed chairs and a spot right next to a public beachwalk has long been a favorite of Jacksonville-area beachgoers. After college, he went backpacking through Scotland and England, experiencing different cultures and cuisines. Upon his return to the United States, he spent two years as a sous chef for Legendary, Inc., and then moved on to an opportunity with the Great Southern Restaurant Group, where he worked his way from prep chef to executive chef. He has served as executive chef for Great Southern for over a decade.

There are a huge number of restaurants that offer breathtaking waterfront views in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. A couple dozen tables are sprinkled around a large concrete-paver deck. He became known as a consensus builder and an expert on both domestic issues like environmentalism and Everglades restoration but also foreign policy.

After graduating, he went to work for Innisfree Hotels and worked his way up to Assistant General Manager where he gained 20 years of hospitality experience. Jacobs started working for Great Southern in 2013, and continues to lead our team as General Manager.
